Mercia Northridge School has officially opened after joining Mercia Learning Trust as its eighth school, bringing a shared ambition to provide children in Parson Cross and across north Sheffield with a world-class education.
Formerly Chaucer School, Mercia Northridge School is led by Headteacher Joanna Crewe and serves a community of more than 750 pupils.
The school will combine high academic expectations with a culture rooted in kindness, perseverance and responsibility.
Every pupil will be supported to succeed regardless of their starting point, reflecting our trust’s mission to empower everyone in our communities, especially the most disadvantaged, to succeed.
Mercia Learning Trust will work closely with staff, pupils, families and the wider community as Mercia Northridge School builds towards its ambitions for the future.
Mercia Northridge School will hold its open day on 17 September from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, giving prospective families the opportunity to visit the school, meet staff and pupils.
