Nether Edge Primary School has been named the lead setting for Sheffield and Beyond Early Years Stronger Practice Hub.
Since 2022, the Department for Education and Ambition Institute’s early years stronger practice hubs programme has supported early years practitioners across England by sharing evidence-informed best practice and professional development.
As the programme expands from 18 to 36 hubs in September 2026, Sheffield and Beyond is one of the newest stronger practice hubs, covering Sheffield, Barnsley and Rotherham.
Working closely with local partner settings and supported by Mercia Learning Trust, the hub will promote effective practice by sharing resources and creating opportunities for early years practitioners to build strong professional networks.
Guided by Mercia Learning Trust’s values of kindness, integrity and diligence, Sheffield and Beyond Early Years Stronger Practice Hub will strengthen practice across the region to improve outcomes and reduce disadvantage in the early years.
