Leaders support the staff with care and integrity. They have created an exceptional school.
Staff, parents and pupils feel valued and part of the beacon of excellence that the school is.
Neil Miley, CEO of Mercia Learning Trust, said:
We are incredibly proud of the team at Totley Primary School. This outcome is not simply the result of a two-day inspection but reflects years of purposeful, values-driven work. Totley is a school where children thrive – academically, socially and personally – supported by compassionate and knowledgeable staff who help every child become the best version of themselves.
The inspectors’ recognition of Totley as a ‘beacon of excellence’ is richly deserved. From the joy and curiosity of the Early Years setting to the school’s ambitious curriculum and outstanding personal development offer, Totley demonstrates the very best of what a primary school can be.
At Mercia Learning Trust, we are committed to kindness, integrity, and diligence. We exist to empower everyone in our communities, especially the most disadvantaged, to succeed. Totley embodies this mission in everything it does – and we are delighted to see that reflected so clearly in this report.
This report is a powerful reflection of the strength of leadership, the dedication of staff and the ambition of children and families at Totley Primary School. Congratulations to everyone involved.
