  • Lord Mayor, Magid Magid, becomes an honorary member of Nether Edge Primary!

    On the 12th September, the Lord of Sheffield, Magid Magid, visited Nether Edge Primary to recognise its achievement as an outstanding community primary school.  He talked about his life as a young person and his journey to become Lord Major of Sheffield.  Later he was invited to the school council and pupils spoke about what made Nether Edge such a special school.

  • Valley Park KS2 outcomes are the most improved in Sheffield!

    Following rapid school improvement during the last 3 years, summer 2018 KS2 outcomes were the most improved of any primary school in Sheffield. For the first time reading, writing and mathematics progress was well above average and in at least the top 10% of schools across the country.

  • Mercia Learning Trust primary performance amongst the very best in the country!

    Recent MAT performance tables (see below) published in December 2018 show that primary schools within the trust (Valley Park, Nether Edge and Totley) have outcomes that are stronger than almost any of the other 240 primary trusts across the country, and certainly the strongest of any in Sheffield and the region.
