New Member Joins our Successful Trust
Mercia Learning Trust is very pleased to announce that appointment of new Member, Bella Abrams.
Bella Abrams, who is the Director of IT Services at the University of Sheffield, joins as our fifth Member. Members are the most senior tier of trust governance. They are the guardians of our constitution, have the power to appoint and remove directors (trustees), and meet annually to receive the audit and trust annual report.
“My work in IT has spanned 21 years and I am pleased that all of this has been in relation to education in some form or another. I am excited to work with the trust as I also believe that an exceptional education can realise the potential of everyone at whatever point in their lives, whatever their background, and truly transform their opportunities.”
In her role at the University of Sheffield, she is responsible for the delivery of all IT and technology enabled change at the University. Her team supports education, research and the operations of the University.
“I am hoping to help Mercia Learning Trust to develop its 6th form and STEM curriculum, to create links with the University of Sheffield and help the trust to thrive”
The trust is looking forward to working with Bella and seeing the positive impacts the appointment will surely make on our students' education.
