King Ecgbert School sixth form took part in the say thank you to the NHS day today (Monday 5th July), with a bake sale raising lots of money for NHS charities, signing cards, dressing up as key workers, and with 150 Year 12 student coming together and spelling the NHS letters on the playground.
Miss McCairns, Director of Sixth Form said, “On behalf of all the staff and students at KES....Thank you NHS, for your constant compassion and hard work through such a challenging time. We appreciate the sacrifice and resilience you have shown.”
Sixth Formers at KES have also been busy fundraising for Sheffield Children’s Hospital this year with the Bears of Sheffield project. Our bear, Hope, has already raised well over £1000 for the charity, and we can’t wait to see it out on the Bears of Sheffield route this summer!
