Ukraine Fundraising & Support

We are so proud of our schools and young people who have arranged numerous fundraisers and support for the people of Ukraine.

Between the schools we have raised over £3500!
Here's a summary of what's been going on:

Nether Edge Primary

Children were inspired to fundraise for refugees across the world after reading The Day War Came by Nicola Davies in assembly. They ran a bake sale and dress in blue and yellow day. Raised £1081.08 for Choose Love.

Totley Primary

Designed and sent cards via a parent travelling to the Polish border to greet refugee children and families fleeing from danger. They are holding a dress in blue and yellow day on Friday and are selling sunflower seeds (Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine). Money raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Woodlands Primary

Collected donations of toys and hygiene products to take to the Ukraine border.
Children created artwork and cards for Ukrainian children.

Newfield School

£795.33 raised for International Red Cross.

Mercia School

Bake and card sale raising £1296.94 for Save the Children.

King Ecgbert School

In school collection of essential items donated via Louise Haigh's office, messages of support tied to school fence, and fundraising bake sale.
